Yuwalaya
is a purely youth-led, non-profit, non-government organization working for and
with youths and adolescents of Nepal. Yuwalaya is established by child club
graduates and seeks to create platform for adolescents, youths and especially
child clubs graduates aiming to encourage them to achieve its goals and
objectives.
Yuwalaya
is hiring personnel for the following positions to execute
its projects:
Program Officer
|
Six months
with possible extension
|
Responsibilities
- Manage implementation
of Yuwalaya projects as per the work plan and finances/budget
- Lead the project team
including supervising and guiding the team members to implement the projects
- Prepare quality reports
(monthly/quarterly/project end) to submit to donors
- Liaise with government
offices, donors and local partners and represent Yuwalaya during meetings
with them
- Work closely with the
Executive Board to develop proposals and concept notes
- Coordinate with the
Executive Board to execute various programs, regular activities and project
specific assignments
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
from a recognized institution
- Knowledge of project
management and proposal development
- Excellent English and
Nepali language skills
- Advanced computer
skills including MS Office and social media
- Team spirit and ability
to work under pressure
- Proactive and ability
to work with minimum supervision
- Communication skills
and learning attitude
- Sensitivity towards
children and child-friendly approach and behaviors

Willingness and ability
for field visit
- Experience in programs
with children and/or youth and adolescents will be an advantage.

Graphic Designer
|
Six months
with possible extension
|
Responsibilities
- Illustrate
conceptualized materials into graphs and figures for publication
- Design behavior change
communication (BCC) materials as and when required for the organization
Qualification and Experience
- Higher secondary (10+2)
or equivalent from a recognized institution
- Good English and Nepali
language skills
- Passion about
illustration/drawing/design
- Working knowledge of
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and/or related software

Creativity, learning
attitude and interest on child and adolescent issues
- Team spirit and ability
to work under pressure
- Sensitivity toward
children and child-friendly approach and behaviors

Experience in programs associated
with children and/or youth and adolescents will be an advantage.

Preference will be
given to students of Fine Arts.

Duty station: Kathmandu with frequent
field visits in different districts of Nepal
Working hours: Full time
